Himalayan Red Rice, 1 Lb.Package
Ingredients: Himalayan Red Rice, a product of Nepal.
Cooking Instructions: 2-3 Tablespoons vegetable oil or butter, 1 cup rice, 2 cups water or broth, salt & pepper to taste (other herbs and spices as you choose). Pre-measure the rice and liquid carefully. Place rice and oil into a saucepan. "Dry fry" on medium-high heat until it begins to brown a little, stirring constantly. Slowly add the liquid, return to a boil and reduce heat to low and let simmer, covered 35-40 minutes. Do not stir. Turn off heat and let rice steam for 15 minutes, fluff with a fork and serve.
