Marjoram Leaf

Marjoram is a very aromatic, sweet herb, closely related to Oregano.  Marjoram has a more delicate flavor and is a gentler herb than Oregano.  It is used for flavoring meats such as meat loaf or polish sausage, liverwurst or bologna.  It is called for in making certain cheeses, soups and sauces.  Marjoram is often added to stuffings for chicken or turkey, also try adding to the rice in stuffed peppers.  Marjoram is almost always one of the Italian herbs blended together to enhance tomato dishes and pizza.  Due to it's delicate flavor, it is best to add the marjoram during the last half of cooking so as to preserve it's flavor.
