Savory
This strong, slightly peppery tasting herb is grown in the Mediterranean. Savory is great on fresh green beans, they taste wonderful together. It is an excellent addition to lentils, peas, beans, cooked vegetable salads, broiled veal and pork, soups, horseradish sauce, stuffing's for roasted poultry, and fish; especially trout. When boiled with cabbage, it prevents cooking odors. Useful as a substitute for those on salt-restricted diets because it has a strong flavor.
