My Store soy candles are made right here in small hand poured batches, using 100% natural soybeans that are domestically grown.  They are not mass produced, so you may see some imperfections.  We have NO additives, so that frosty, mottling appearance is normal, as is some flaking or crusting on the tops of candles.  Soy wax candles have a number of advantages compared to paraffin wax candles.

Smoke out is a pleasant smell designed to help eliminate the odor from cigarette/cigar smoke.
